Luis Vidal is about to open the Encounters exhibition in Dallas, where the Mood bathroom collection designed by his studio for Noken can be seen. As a part of the exhibition, at Noken we are very proud to collaborate to make this initiative possible. The exhibition will open its doors from the 10th to the 31st of October in the Dallas Center for Architecture.

Under the name Encounters, an overview is given of the main projects undertaken by the Luis Vidal + Arquitectos (LVA) studio in recent years, creating a space for reflection on the needs and difficulties of 21st century architecture, through the personal impressions of Luis Vidal.

From urban planning projects and diverse types of buildings to industrial design creations such as the Mood collection taps, the visitor can observe the concept map of Luis Vidal through an augmented reality app for smartphones and tablets, developed expressly for the exhibition by a team from the Polytechnic University of Valencia.

A hand-planted vertical garden made up of 3000 “flowers”, 80 projects, and 18 cities lead the visitor to reconsider the role of infrastructures, sustainability, urban growth, technology, innovation and interdisciplinarity.

After opening in April in the Washington District Architecture Center, coinciding with the national architecture week, in may the exhibition travelled to the New York Center for Architecture, where it could be visited during the NYCxDESIGN celebration of design. In these locations Encounters received a warm welcome, which is also expected to be repeated in Dallas.
