Mallorca is so much more than idyllic coves and beach bars. Its capital, Palma de Mallorca, offers a wide range of leisure, gastronomy and culture, whose main attraction is the Gothic cathedral: Santa María de Palma. Walking around, feeling the sea breeze and strolling along its streets to the central Jaime I and the picturesque neighbourhood of Santa Catalina where, we find the Naisa Palma Hotel.
Opened in January 2019, this hotel from the Protur Hoteles chain is aimed at both the urban leisure section and business tourism, due to its proximity to the Palacio de Congresos de Palma. Built on an old non-commissioned officers’ residence, Naisa has 99 rooms, a cafeteria and a Sala Living (Living room) for business meetings. The roof terrace has been reserved for the Chill Out terrace with a Sky Bar and an outdoor pool, which all go towards providing a nice offer to the most cosmopolitan tourism.
Pop Art inspiration and pastel colours
The Mallorcan interior designer, Marga Rotger, has designed the indoor area of the Naisa Palma Hotel. Spacious and bright spaces where natural materials and pastel colours are combined. Oranges, aquamarines and greens are intermingled with powdered rose to create a pleasant atmosphere of comfort. Although a more sober style for the rooms has been banked on, in the common areas the design is more modern and colourful. Furniture with geometric shapes and pieces of modern art recreate the Pop Art style.
The four-star Naisa Palma hotel has a hundred rooms, whose Wellness offer is completed with a gym and a spa. A more intimate relaxation is also possible from the suites, where a shower and a bathtub space have been set up. The Tone bathtub by Foster+Partners has been included in the sleeping area, allowing guests to feel relaxed while watching TV or enjoying the views outside. A freestanding design created as a sculptural piece that has been completed with the Lounge floor standing taps.
Lounge is also the series chosen for the basin taps in its sophisticated built-in design. Other bathrooms have the Hotels taps. The shower combines the Hotels taps with the Neptune Slim Rondo shower head and the Hotels shower kit.
Looking for minimalism and practicality in the bathroom, Marga Rotger has used the Arquitect wall hung toilets. A design which only shows only what is essential by having a built-in cistern system.
The Noken Porcelanosa Bathrooms design for this hotel is completed with the 100cm and 80cm wide Square basin, the ash Hotels furniture and the Urban C bathroom accessories in a black matt finish.
