4 stars, 78 rooms, a bar, a restaurant, meeting rooms, various terraces, all with over 100 years of history, and a design that detaches pure revolution aesthetic. This has been the result of the Vincci Gala Hotel refurbishment process, a project in which the TBI Architecture and Engineering  studio has incorporated all the needs of a modern hotel from the XXI century into an historic building from the XX century in Eixample, in the city of Barcelona. Together with the façade, the hydraulic floors and the big marble modern Catalan styled staircase, the name of the hotel, “Gala”, needs to be kept in order to pay a massive tribute to the muse of the surreal artist, Salvador Dalí. However, the respect towards the avant-guarde spirit, has been above all the leitmotiv of this renovation, and furthermore, it’s the presence of some special features that define the avant-guarde artists from the past century that show off a clear signs of transformation, surrealism, graphic design, pictograms, geometry, op-art, and the decorative sophistication of the twenties. Following this motto, the interior designers have banked on the most innovative bathroom fittings from Noken, that contribute to the creation of this singular hotel design concept under the assumption of maximum comfort for guests, and minimising the environmental impact of energy use in the hotel. For the sanitarywares in the rooms, the Acro collection has been chosen, and it stands out because of its adaptation to any type of space, thanks to its reduced dimensions and asceticism aesthetic. The mirrors, for their part, as well as the bathroom accessories have been exclusively selected with LED lighting already incorporated. An exclusive touch together with sustainability for an interior design in which the contrast between light and dark plays a leading role.
